In a surprising event from the Tamil film scene, a video from Rajinikanth’s new film Jailer 2 has been shared online before its official launch. As this clip spreads across social media, the producers have released a message asking everyone to avoid using, sharing, or reposting it. “We want to inform you that a video from the filming of ‘Jailer 2’ is currently being shared on social media. Our anti-piracy team is watching the situation closely and will take the needed actions to get rid of such material, which includes pursuing actions against accounts involved in sharing or promoting these videos," stated the production company Sun Pictures, as quoted. “We respectfully ask media members and fan groups to avoid using, sharing, or reposting this video to prevent any possible suspension or limitations on their accounts. Please remember that the production will not be responsible for any consequences from these actions or in recovering the accounts," it continued.
This marks the second incident in a month where an upcoming Tamil film has been leaked. Earlier this month, Thalapathy Vijay’s movie Jana Nayagan was also released online. Following the leak, the movie's producers took legal steps against the source. The legal team for KVN Productions LLP, the film’s production company, issued a public announcement cautioning against the sharing of any leaked materials, including clips, photos, or complete versions of the movie. The team also expressed “shock and urgency" regarding the violation and warned of repercussions if leaked scenes are downloaded, shared, or reposted on any online platform. Eight individuals and a freelance assistant editor have been detained in connection with this issue. Jailer 2 has generated significant excitement, largely due to the massive popularity of the first film, which became an enormous hit, earning around Rs 650 crores. The filming of the sequel started in Chennai first. Sun Pictures, the company producing this action film, announced that filming began on March 10 of this year.
