Analysis

Veera Simha Reddy Movie Review, Rating, Story, Cast and Crew

Veera Simha Reddy is an action-packed entertainer and is aimed at the masses. The film is packed with high-voltage action that may not appeal to all the sections of the audience. Do not expect a great plot but the narration drives it all over. Balakrishna stuns everyone with his rugged looks and packed performance. He looks royal and stylish as Veera Simha Reddy. The other role Jai Simha Reddy should have been better and differently presented. The first half is decent and the last half an hour is well presented. The interval episodes are convincing and Balakrishna is the major USP of the film. The songs are well shot and Veera Simha Reddy looks lavish in each and every frame.

The second half of Veera Simha Reddy is a right mix of action and a strong emotional drama. Balakrishna and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar are top-class in their respective roles and they competed well. The second half of Veera Simha Reddy has enough flaws but the performances take the film to the next level. The pre-climax portions are the major highlights of Veera Simha Reddy. The climax is predictable and it should have been better. The second half of Veera Simha Reddy looks decent but falls short of the expectations.

Performance

Balakrishna is brilliant and flawless as Veera Simha Reddy. He roars loud and takes the film to the next level with his performance. He is equally good in the role of Jai Simha Reddy which has less prominence. He should have looked younger. His looks and costumes are well-designed. Shruti Haasan looks glamorous and her role is restricted to songs. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is one of the major highlights of the film. She has a great role assigned in the second half and she pulls it with perfection. Honey Rose looks good in the assignment. Duniya Vijay did well but his role lacks powerfulness. All the other actors did their roles well with perfection and did justice.

Veera Simha Reddy has a predictable plot and the screenplay is good. The scenes are predictable but they are presented in a good manner. The dialogues are good. The editing work should have been better. Thaman's background score is loud and elevates the film but the music album is a huge disappointment. The cinematography work is a huge asset for Veera Simha Reddy. The montage shots are outstanding. The way Veera Simha Reddy is presented is just exceptional. Mythri Movie Makers spent lavishly on the film and the production values are grand. Gopichand Malineni should be appreciated for presenting Balayya in a never seen mode.

Final Word

Balakrishna and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar take Veera Simha Reddy to the next level with their performances. An action-packed mass entertainer.
