Huawei has launched the Huawei Mate 80 Pro in international markets during its “Now is Your Run” event held in Madrid on Thursday. The version available globally is slightly different from the one in China, as it operates on EMUI 15.0 instead of HarmonyOS 6.0. This model features a triple rear camera system with a 50-megapixel sensor and a large 5,750mAh battery that supports fast charging at 100W. At the same event, Huawei also revealed the Watch GT Runner 2, Watch Ultimate 2, MatePad Mini, FreeBuds Pro 5, and Band 11 Series. The global pricing for the Mate 80 Pro has not yet been disclosed. The phone will be available in some regions, but availability may differ based on location. It comes in a single configuration with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, available in colors like Black, Green, and Gold.
The Huawei Mate 80 Pro features a 6.75-inch LTPO OLED screen with a resolution of 2832 × 1280 pixels and a pixel density of 460ppi. The display supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz, 1440Hz PWM dimming, a wide color range of up to 1.07 billion colors, and a maximum brightness of 3000 nits. Huawei has not provided details about the chipset for the global version. The Chinese model is equipped with a Kirin 9030 Pro SoC. This phone includes 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It runs on EMUI 15.0 outside of China, where it uses HarmonyOS 6.0. Regarding the camera specs, the Huawei Mate 80 Pro has a main sensor with 50 megapixels featuring a variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0, along with optical image stabilization. Additionally, it includes a 40-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 48-megapixel macro telephoto lens that offers 4x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. The front side has a 13-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera with autofocus capabilities. Both the front and rear cameras support video recording in 4K.
The Huawei Mate 80 Pro is powered by a 5,750mAh battery that supports both 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. Depending on the market, it is offered in both single-SIM and dual-SIM versions. It is claimed to have IP68 and IP69 ratings for protection against dust and water. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, USB Type-C with USB 3.1 Gen 1 speed, NFC, dual-band GPS, and support for NavIC. The phone's dimensions are 161.85 × 76 × 7.95mm, and it weighs approximately 219g.
